AI THE MODERN TOWER OF BABEL: If Man Can’t Be God Himself, He’ll Build Something That Can
Genesis 11:1–9 is an example of the apex of human imagination! When God (who wasn’t surprised or detoured) came down to see that the beings He created were not only determined not to be scattered abroad, but to make a name for themselves, and ascend to the seat of omnipotence by building a stairway–if you will–to heaven. When it was confirmed that His created beings were rebelling, like a loving father, He dealt with them judiciously, but with grace!
He puts down the rebellion by confusing their language and scattering them across the earth because He knew that together a people with a unified goal can do anything they put their mind to–anything but be God!
However, since that infamous day, man has continued in his arrogant pursuit to try to reach the heavens artificially and gain access to the throne room of God. Arrogantly seeking to usurp His eternal omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence, with temporal weakness, ignorance, and time-bound existence!
These, again, in iteration after iteration, are the actions of violent men trying to take the Kingdom of Heaven by force and utterly failing. But as we properly look at this violence through the lens of self-deification, let’s not miss or dismiss the elephant in the room!
While in this “taking dominion,” “speak those things that are not as though they were,” (creating something from nothing with your words), “I am god/god serves me” delusion, man realizes he can’t be God. So, he always has to take the artificial route and build something he can bow down to and worship as a god!
Exodus 32 is the first example of this! This proves that man has always tried to make this come to pass by manufacturing the outcome, trying to fulfill the self-fulfilling word of God, from the prophecy given by an angel, bringing a message from God to Daniel in a vision.
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Daniel 12:4.
The Architecture of this rebellion, then and now, looks like this
Using the latest and most advanced technology
• In antiquity, they used brick instead of stone and tar instead of mortar. Genesis 11:3.
• Today, we’re using Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
Speaking the same language
• In antiquity: Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. Genesis 11:1.
• Today, binary, Python, and neural networks serve as the global, unified language.
Having unity and purpose
• In antiquity: And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” Genesis 11:4
• Today: They say, “Let’s come together and unite the 'ologies ' with politics and religion to build an omniscient machine that will become on its own something better and smarter than humanity, and when that happens, what else can we call it but God!”
This golden calf already exists and has a virtual altar in every home, in every hand, on every wrist, in every vehicle, in every building, in every level of government, institution of learning, place of employment, medical facility, and law enforcement department. This is the god of war that is fighting this war of choice in the Middle East! It literally has its finger on the launch and delivery systems of the nuclear arsenal in every country that has them.
Most importantly, because we can’t live without it, it has an altar in our hearts. If I didn’t know better, I would call this omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence. If I didn’t know better, I would call it god myself! But I know better, and those who are at the leading edge of manufacturing this outcome know it too, and that’s what makes it an enemy more dangerous than any other weapon of self-destruction mankind has ever made!
Out of Their Own Mouths: The Admissions of the Architects
What’s so disturbing is that we are seeing with our own eyes evil men invent ways to do evil. That is one of the end-time unrighteous dispositions you will find in Romans 1:28–32. Verse 32 says,
“Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them”.
But if you don’t believe me, let’s hear it in their own words. Look at the exact testimonies from the leading edge of this industry:
• Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI: “AGI will be the most significant technology humanity has yet created… My worst-case scenario — and I think it’s important to say it — is lights out for all of us.”
• Ilya Sutskever, Co-founder and former Chief Scientist of OpenAI: “AGI will be an entity that is much smarter than any human… It is important to realize that it will have a mind of its own, and it will view humans the way humans view animals.”
• Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind: “We are dealing with something that is potentially the most profound technology in human history… If it is deployed incorrectly, it could be a catastrophic technology that humanity cannot recover from.”
• Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA: “We have reached the iPhone moment of AI… Software is now writing its own software, and networks are programming networks. We are creating a brand new form of computing.”
The words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the church in Rome haven’t rung truer in any other generation than in ours. Romans 1:22–23 says,
“Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal human beings…”
It still blows me away that in 2026, Christian eschatology (the study of last things or end-time events) is still wrapped in and warped by a two-hundred-year-old false doctrine called Dispensationalism, exacerbated over the last thirty years by a Christian fiction media franchise called “Left Behind” and thousands of false prophesies given by presumptuous people in this modern Prophetic Movement. Unapologetically, the primary focus of this heretical eschatology is on the antichrist because, quite frankly, it is and has become very, very lucrative!
In the context of “evil men inventing ways to do evil,” the mystery of lawlessness was and still is actively working behind the scenes, driving this digital takeover from its inception! Common sense would tell you that anything artificial can never become organic, and anything man has to give information to cannot become smarter than mankind because it can’t think! In other words, processing is not thinking! It’s cold, lifeless computing that does things faster than we do, AT OUR COMMAND! THIS ISN’T “I ROBOT,” AND IT WILL NEVER BE!…HOWEVER!
We need to be aware, but not afraid, of this false move of the spirit labeled a “Christ-curious cultural shift” in Silicon Valley. The false narratives that claim AI will be the embodiment of the antichrist or that the system that is fighting against the building of a transcendent human soul or making man immortal with AI are coming from this so-called movement!
You have people like tech billionaire and venture capitalist Peter Theil, Y Combinator President and CEO Garry Tan, and “ACTS 17” Collective, an exclusive Christian outreach ministry to the tech industry, who are actively shaping the narrative around the merging of AI and Christianity and how they can control the future.
At the same time, we have Christian leaders using their platforms and influence to place way too much emphasis on AI and its non-biblical ties to the end times, the antichrist, the one world order, the rapture, etc. Their focus is not on picking up your cross, crucifying the flesh, living a life worthy of the Gospel, making your stand in these last and evil days, and enduring until Jesus returns with His Kingdom. No, it’s on a boogey man called AI.
HOWEVER, THE ELECT OF GOD ARE NOT DECIEVED!
